Looking back, I don&#039;t think it was even intentional or that he did it to hurt me, it was just a bit of a game for him, maybe a chance for him to stroke his ego even though he knew he had a beautiful fiance waiting for him. And looking deeper into myself, what I felt didn&#039;t go much deeper than a crush--it hurt like crazy at the time, but it did teach me a lot about myself and the qualities to look for in a potential partner (and very few are qualities that he possesses ...)]]></description>

I believe arrogance and pride are closely related, and the strongest deterrent to these vices is humility. As I reflect on the many people who inspire me and make me want to be a better version of myself, they all have the incredible virtue of humility. It is truly a remarkable virtue. And while we may have moments of arrogance or pride (as I&#8217;m not sure anyone is free of sometimes falling short in these domains), we can try to counter that with greater demonstrations of humility.
